Love Thy Neighbor
Providing Meals for Over 4,000 Households
The congregation of St. Paul’s supports Love Thy Neighbor, which serves as the ‘Community Food Pantry & Soup Kitchen of King George.’ Love Thy Neighbor helps meet the nutritional, emotional, and spiritual needs of others through the generosity of ‘neighbors helping neighbors’ throughout King George County and surrounding communities. It has provided meals and groceries to over 4,000 households … approximately 9,000 men, women, and children, supplying and serving at least 150 meals at each monthly event. This varies from 85-100 family units per month made up of: seniors, veterans, disabled persons, unemployed and under-employed, and families with children (many in blended and extended families).
We hope you will support and find your place of service to this organization that provides meals, love, support, and encouragement to families, disabled persons, seniors, and veterans.
The Love Thy Neighbor team is made up of dedicated volunteers with diverse denominational backgrounds, and many businesses, organizations, and churches, in the effort to reach out to the community.
St. Paul’s parishioners regularly volunteer at the monthly event, and we contribute the bulk of Love Thy Neighbor’s hygiene items, which are items that food stamps cannot buy.
