Oktoberfest FAQs

Is there a cost for the event? It is free admission to enjoy the music, shop at Christkindlmarkt, and enjoy the children’s activities! Tickets for food and drink are available for sale.
Do you accept credit cards? Yes, we accept credit cards. However, it is up to each Christkindlmarkt vendor to determine if they accept credit cards, or not.
May I bring my pet? While we love our pets, for the safety of everyone pets are not allowed at the event. Service animals are an exception.
If it rains, are there any refunds? Oktoberfest is rain or shine; there are no refunds and there is no rain date. We have a large tent to offer shelter.
Will there be drinks other than beer and wine? Yes! Water and soft drinks will be available for sale.
Do I have to bring an ID? If you wish to drink beer or wine, YES. You will be asked to present a government-issued photo ID – regardless of age. We do this to assure that our consuming guests are of legal age, in compliance with state law.
What is the steinholding contest? This contest requires the participant to hold in one outstretched hand a large water-filled stein by its handle, keeping his/her arm extended horizontally. Participants are reminded throughout the event that they cannot bend their elbows or permit their arms to be lowered. Should the water in the stein spill, the contestant is disqualified. The last person standing without spilling water is declared the winner and wins a prize.
Will there be gingerbread cookie hearts? Yes! Look for Lebkuchenherzen on the food line.
