Acolytes, Lay Readers, and Ushers

Youth serve as acolytes during our church services; with their families, they also participate as lay readers and ushers.

Older children are welcome to participate in the Choir or our occasional Handbell Choir, and a Children’s Choir is always a possibility.

FELLOWSHIP

Youth Group

Sixth through twelfth grade students participate in the St. Paul’s Youth Group, which meets on Sunday evenings with the youth from Hanover-with-Brunswick Episcopal Parish.  The Youth Group takes on community service projects and other fun activities that interest them.

Summer Camps!

We are fortunate to have a number of different Episcopal camps in Virginia, only a few hours away from King George. The Diocese of Virginia sponsors a number of different camps at Shrine Mont in the beautiful mountains of Virginia, (800) 346-2373 (DIOCESE), www.shrinemontcamps.net

The Diocese of Southern Virginia offers camp programs at its camp and conference grounds on the banks of the peaceful James River near Surry, at Camp Chanco, (888) 724-2626,  www.chanco.org.

Camps are for children age 8 to 18, and they operate from June to August. Schedules for all camps are available on their websites. Some camps and sessions fill up, so register early.

St. Paul’s offers limited, partial grants to St. Paul’s families to help offset the cost of an Episcopal summer camp.
