APPROVAL OF MISSION STATEMENT:  “The mission statement of the M/O committee is to make Christ’s love known locally, nationally and throughout the world – by encouraging the energies of St. Paul’s congregation to reach out and improve the lives of others.”

JUNE/JULY/AUGUST – families at St. Paul’s were given ark banks and an events calendar in June at the end of Sunday school to collect loose change during the summer months.  We started collected these banks in August as the kick-off to the Heifer Project.

Food Bank donations were taken to Social Services because of scarcity of food in the county food bank.

SEPTEMBER – Food Drive for Haiti - collected beans, rice, oil and vitamins

OCTOBER – approval of $200 to go to Project Faith

NOVEMBER – Thanksgiving Basket(s); Samaritan’s Purse (shoeboxes)  ECW Bazaar; box for Jason Loveland

ON-GOING PROJECTS – Each month at least one large box of food is taken to the food bank at Little Ark Baptist church in Owens or to King George Social Services.  Families take turns taking the boxes to the food bank.

There are wish lists for our local charities posted in the parish house.  They include:  Thurman Brisban Homeless Shelter, Hope House (home for women and children in domestic violence situations), Jackson Feild Home (women and girls home) and the animal shelter.  Several boxes were taken to Hope House.  Several boxes were mailed to Jackson Feild Home.
